Letters and soundscribers relating to: several Miramichi projects including the erection of monuments for the Enclosure; unofficial opening of the Sinclair Rink; Guidebook to the Enclosure; collecting of folk-songs; arrangements made in anticipation of Barbara J. Gandy's arrival to take up the post of librarian of the Old Manse Library and progress reports regarding the acquisition of neptune charts, a record player and records for the library. Reference is also made to a radio programme of folk-songs and of the radio broadcast of "Scenes from an Earlier Day" which was sponsored by Lord Beaverbrook and examined the early history of the Miramichi.

Louise Manny, 1890-1970, provided Beaverbrook's ongoing contact with his native Newcastle. Their correspondence spans from 1946 to his death in 1964. Beaverbrook supported her in her historical research on the Miramichi, her folk song collecting, and her work in the development of the historic burial ground at Wilson's (Beaubair's) Point into a park named The Enclosure.
